The 418th Institute of Applied Energy (IAE) monthly seminar: Lecture by Mr. Naoaki Okuzumi, Senior Manager of the R&D Strategy Planning Department (April 8, 2022)
IAE organized the 418th monthly seminar online on April 8, 2022. At the seminar, Mr. Naoaki Okuzumi, who is the Senior Manager of the R&D Strategy Planning Department at the International Research Institute for Nuclear Decommissioning (IRID), delivered a lecture on the “Status of research and development (R&D) conducted by IRID.”
Mr. Okuzumi explained the investigation inside the primary containment vessel and development of fuel debris retrieval technology that is used for decommissioning the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Over 130 attendees participated the lecture with keen interest.
IRID will continue to promote cooperation with universities and research institutes through on demand courses and lectures.
