STSS/ISOFIC/ISSNP 2021: A Lecture on the Overview of IRID R&D by Naoaki Okuzumi, Senior Manager of the R&D Strategy Planning Department (November 15, 2021)
The STSS/ISOFIC/ISSNP 2021* was held online (Zoom) and on-site at the Okayama Convention Center, Okayama Prefecture, which is a hybrid style conference. On November 15, 2021, Mr. Naoaki Okuzumi, Senior Manager of the R&D Strategy Planning Department, International Research Institute for Nuclear Decommissioning (IRID), delivered a special lecture titled “Overview of IRID R&D.”
At the lecture, he introduced the status on investigation inside the primary containment vessel and technological development of retrieving fuel debris for the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Approximately 120 attendees, mainly from Japan, China, and Korea, listened to his lecture with keen interest.
IRID is committed to actively promoting cooperation with various organizations through lectures and on-demand classes.
