Vice President Dr. Tamio Arai Delivers Lecture at the Japan Society for Precision Engineering, Technical Committee on the Knowledge Innovation in the Manufacturing and Management

In the Japan Society for Precision Engineering, Technical Committee on the Knowledge Innovation in the Manufacturing and Management (Chairperson: Professor Eiji Arai at Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University), Dr. Tamio Arai, Vice President of IRID, gave a lecture entitled “Achievements an Issues in Robotic Technology” (Date: November 13, 2017; place: Osaka University Nakanoshima Center).
A 90-minute lecture was given on decommissioning activities, the role of IRID, and the implementation record and issues of decommissioning robots with a video clip. At the end of the lecture, he talked about design challenges as well as expectations for researchers based on the purpose of the Precision Engineering Technical Committee.
The lecture hall was filled to capacity, in which the attendees engaged in active discussions during the Q&A session after the lecture. The lecture went over its time limit due to concentrated lecture.
IRID is committed to promoting positive cooperation with universities and research institutes via various lectures, including delivery of lectures on demand.
