The third International Advisory meeting was held on December 2-4, 2015.
International Advisors comprise overseas intellectuals appointed to provide IRID (board of directors) with advice from organizational and management perspectives.

On Day 1 of the Meeting, IRID reported the update of the Fukushima Daiichi, and the current status of IRID’s activities and R&D projects. On Day 2, the International Advisors inspected the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Stations (NPS), and on the final day (Day 3), they gave advice to IRID.

They acknowledged that IRID has made progress from the last year and appreciated our efforts: the introduction of the IRID design review process; the establishment of the nuclear safety working group; and, the strengthening of information release and communications.

Also, they gave us valuable advice that we should flexibly respond to matters: how to advance our projects in the future and how to manage funds and that it is useful to investigate technologies in other industries such as the oil industry.
